To mark the 30th anniversary of "Captain Fantastic", an album which makes lots of references to Elton and Bernie's writing partnership in its early days, we had proclaimed the Hercules Composer Competition 2005.

You all know "Dogs in the Kitchen", a poem which is included in the "Captain Fantastic" lyric book, but which has never been recorded by Elton. We were aware that there are many talented piano players and ambitious songwriters amongst Elton's fans. So we asked them to fill this gap after 30 years and compose music to this wonderful Bernie lyric.
