Elton John honored by American Idol contestants

The eleven remaining American Idol contestants on March 30, 2011 brought their best performance to the stage in a time when it mattered most.

The extreme situation on the singing competition show broadcasted live across the Untied States had those on stage focused and ready for their Elton John song performance.

This week the show was honoring Elton John and the vast library of music he has performed for the world. As the audience swayed with songs they have heard or perhaps sung in the past, the show had a certain historical reflection to the night. Elton John has sold over 250 million records and is considered one of the most successful recording artist ever.

While the tribute of singing Elton John’s singles may be minor in comparison to the career of the legend, the audience was engulfed in the movies, style and madness of one of the best performers on the planet.

  • Haley Reinhart: Benny and the Jets
Using the special judges save last week threw the competition directly into the hands of the fans and the votes cast directly following the show. American Idol the Results will be brutal on March 31, 2011 with two of the contestants going home instead of the traditional one. Stressing this is the most important time to vote up to this point, the American Idol contestants need their fans to call, text or go online to support their dream of being crowned the next American Idol.
