Elton sacks manager
Monday, February 28 2005

Elton has ditched his manager Derek MacKillop after five years following disappointing sales of his 2004 album PEACHTREE ROAD.

He was reportedly mortified his disc only managed to reach number 21 in the British album chart and is eager to recruit fresh talent to help revamp his career.

A source tells British newspaper THE SUN, "Elton demands the best from everyone, including himself. He works incredibly hard and doesn't accept things not going to plan.

"Derek was a loyal servant and grafter but things just didn't work out as they had both hoped. Elton had really high hopes for Peachtree Road but it did not take off for him as planned.

"He felt it was time for a clean break and Derek wasn't what he had in mind for the future."
