 ELTON JOHN NEWS

Elton John and band performed in Chicao on April 23, 2005
Sunday, April 24 2005

Fan report by Brendan Randall Green.

Well, you ask and you shall receive. I bitched yesterday about Elton on autopilot, and all the mistakes that were made and tonight, well let's just say it was the sixth time I have seen him, and definately the best.

The show started at 8:05 again, with the Peachtree Road album (he remembered the words tonight). "Bennie" followed. The only complaint I have is I think "Daniel" is in the wrong spot in the setlist. You have everyone up on their feet for "Bennie" and the sit down for "Daniel", and back up for "Pilot". Oh well.

Everythig in the set stayed the same, and in "Rocket Man" he brought back the R-O-C-K-E-T-M-A-N, which he didn't do last night. The crowd in the Windy City was much better than it's northern neighbors.

Elton proved to them tonight why I love him, and why I should just keep my mouth shut about his set lists, and his autopilot. God Bless that man.

Following is the complete set list of the Chicago show on April 23, 2005:
